TENTSMUIR SEAL COLONY

Tentsmuir’s Grey Seal Colony is situated along the picturesque Scottish coastline, specifically on Tentsmuir Beach. This thriving marine wildlife habitat is home to a significant population of grey seals. The colony provides a crucial breeding ground and refuge for these magnificent marine mammals. The colony plays a vital role in maintaining the biodiversity of the area and contributes to ongoing conservation efforts. The seal populations vary throughout the year, but estimates  suggest that the grey seal population peaks at about 2000 and the common seal about 600. Naturally inquisitive not many trips are made without one popping its head on the water nearby.

TAY DOLPHIN POD

The Tay Estuary is home to a resident dolphin population, offering a captivating experience for wildlife enthusiasts. These intelligent and playful creatures, commonly known as bottlenose dolphins, thrive in the estuary’s rich and diverse marine ecosystem. Visitors can witness their acrobatic displays, including leaps, flips, and tail slaps, as they navigate the estuarine waters.
